DHL operates a fast-moving logistics environment where employees work across 24/7 shift patterns. Due to the nature of the operation, staff often have short break times, making it essential to provide quick, high-quality, and easily accessible food options throughout the day and night.

To address this challenge, DHL initially introduced a self-service food kiosk solution within the workplace. This concept allowed employees to access fresh meals, snacks, and drinks quickly without the need for traditional staffed catering services.

Over a three-year period, the self-service kiosk proved to be a successful initiative, improving convenience for employees and ensuring food availability across multiple shifts.

Building on this success, DHL has now decided to evolve the service further with Simplicity Cuisine in line with new technology and operational improvements. The company is transitioning to a Vision Anti-Theft Smart Fridge and Freezer system.
